Save the Children Youth in Scandinavia are all working for improving children's rights and life on the bases of the articles in the UN convention of the rights of the Child.

In 2003 after SC-Youth in Denmark where founded the three organizations started to get together with the purpose of sharing of experiences and ideas. In the beginning Norway contributed in the establishing of SCY Denmark by sending a fulltime volunteer under the Youth in Action program which gave our new established organization a lot. The following two years the three organization meet twice a year to follow up on what we initially started by the fulltime volunteer to keep each other informed about our work.

In 2005 the three organizations had the strength and saw the opportunity to create something more. The Conference "Changing Power" and with the purpose of bringing youth involved in Save the Children together on a bigger scale to exchange experiences and learn from each other. The same year of Changing Power the Save the Children Alliance held their annual Members Meeting in Stockholm where 10 of the participant from Changing Power joined the meeting with a common appeal about including children and youth in the work by Save the Children and a presentation of initiatives carried out by youth around the world.

As one of the many good outcome from Changing Power Save the Children in Finland hired a youth coordinator with the purpose of encourage and involve even more youth in Finland with the common case.

The years after Changing Power the collaboration began to involve in a positive direction and with a wish of being able to do more thing in coordination and on continues basis. The word of our collaboration changed into the Nordic Corporation (NC) and the word was used in minutes and applications
The NC applied for a another fulltime volunteer and base in Oslo and with specific task such as keeping in contact with everyone from Changing Power and carry out a Mapping of youth involved in SC around the world. Our increased level of activities called for a more stucturized approach to our work and a clear description of our purpose. During the following years SCY-DK lobbied for this through the creation of a umbrella organization which was rejected however the process lead to understanding from everyone to formalize more.
In 2008 during the process Finland had formed its youth groups in several cities with the coordination from the hired youth coordinator. And the Nordic Corporation now had a new member.
